ABOUT

"BrHoarder Perspective" is a non-profit and non-government funded organisation. Our main objective is to raise awareness of Compulsive Hoarding Disorder in Singapore. We work in a collaborative partnership with the Ministry of National Development (MND) to expand its outreach to raise awareness of Compulsive Hoarding Disorder to more people. 

What is Compulsive Hoarding Disorder? 

About BrHoarder Perspective:

Compulsive hoarding is a lifestyle and pattern of behavior that is characterized by excessive accumulation and an inert inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects. It cover the living areas of homes and causes significant degradation in living conditions and could potentially shatter family relationships.

Certain Symptoms of Compulsive Hoarding Disorder includes:

- An individual being overly-attached to inanimate objects eg. soft toys, Old containers

- An individual accumulating an increasing and excessive amount of items

- An individual being aggressive when his or her items are suggested to be cleared or thrown away

- An individual does not see a worrying condition of their home despite it being crammed and piled to the ceilings with their accumulated items forming massive clutters
